Exchange student 2015/16: First days in Turkey

Guys, here I am ! I know it's so long ago but I was so busy. Sooo, as it would be way too long to tell you about all 5 days in detail, I will try to sum it up. On the 1.September was my flight to Izmir. I came from Frankfurt to the airport to Munich where I met the other students from YFU: 4 German girls (with me) and a Danish girl.

When we arrived there, 2 volunteers from YFU greeted us and we met with the last exchange student from Belgium.

Together we went to the metro for a 2 hours ride to our on-arrival camp. As we went to a bus after that and we arrived at our camp named "Afacan" other YFU volunteers greeted us and we met each other. The place for the camp is very beautiful as it is at the sea, in the nature and it has a pool.

So we stayed at the the arrival camp for 5 days and did a lot of stuff. First of all we had kind of lessons or workshop in order to prepare us for this upcoming year.We learnt very much ..sometimes too much for one day. But also we had a lot of fun talking to each other, being in the pool or sea, making selfies and so on. It's so nice that we all share the same goals and thoughts so we understood each other very well.

On the last day of this camp we made a trip to Izmir and saw some things. Then we went to the huge Kültürpark where a special fair was with many stands and attratctions. We ate there and at evening we drived to the bus station where I finally would meet my host family.
